EvolVienna meeting

It is our pleasure to announce our next evolVienna meeting on Wednesday, 25th of September, from 13:00-17:30 at GMI (IMBA/GMI lecture hall on 1st floor, GMI entrance, Dr.-Bohr-Gasse 3, 1030 Wien). This meeting will be held in person. On demand we would be happy to broadcast it online as well. We are planning an afternoon with great speakers from various institutes in and around Vienna:

Magnus Nordborg (GMI): TBA
Anna Igolkina (GMI): Mobilome in Arabidopsis thaliana.
Jitka Polechová (Uni Wien, Maths): Coevolution of species' range and niche in changing environments.
Claus Vogl (Vetmeduni): Is genomic heterogeneity across spatial scales evidence for pervasive selection?
Hilde Schneemann (ISTA): Genetic interactions and the fitness of Hibiscus crosses and Antirrhinum hybrids.
Ioanna Kotari (Vetmeduni): TBA
Thea Rogers (Uni Wien, NeuroDevBio): Comparative topological genomics in cephalopods.

As usual, talks will be 30 minutes including questions. Drinks and nibbles will be served during the breaks. A pub visit is planned afterwards.
