Konrad Lorenz Institute for Evolution and Cognition Research (KLI)

The KLI is an independent center for advanced studies, with a focus on evolution and theoretical biology. It supports the articulation, analysis, and integration of biological theories and the exploration of their wider scientific and cultural significance. The institute offers several kinds of fellowships and provides a stimulating environment for fellows, visiting scholars, and external faculty. Together with MIT Press, the KLI publishes the book collection Vienna Series in Theoretical Biology and with Springer it publishes the journal Biological Theory.
