Experimental Evolutionary Biology (Gollmann/Herler/Mitterröcker)

Course Academic Credits: 10 ECTS
Aims, contents and method of the course: Current questions and methods of evolutionary biology will be applied to research on phenotypic plasticity of amphibian larvae (experimental ecology, geometric morphometry). Aims: Understanding of current topics in evolutionary biology, ability to apply relevant research methods, practice in writing scientific reports. Methods: Discussion of scientific papers, practical research in a small team, data analysis and writing of reports.
Assessment: Assessment of practical work and written reports.
Minimal requirements: 90% presence during seminars, written report in the from of a scientific publication
Assessment criteria: 40% practical work and oral presentation, 60% written report
