Are you interested in animal evolution and do you have a strong background in using bioinformatics approaches in zoological research? The Department of Evolutionary Biology seeks to fill a permanent Senior Scientist position in Bioinformatics. You will join a highly dynamic and international team that tackles questions on animal evolution on multiple levels, from gene sequence to molecular and morphological phenotypes. You will support our scientific staff by participating in projects that require analytical support in bioinformatics and you will aid in designing experiments to optimize data capture. As a highly motivated and enthusiastic colleague, you will continuously contribute expert state-of-the-art bioinformatics knowledge to help us stay at the forefront of evolutionary research. The position will suit candidates with a strong interest in organismal evolution. He*She has experience in performing independent, comparative analyses of transcriptomic and genomic datasets and has a strong interest in contributing such data to evodevo and phylogenomic research projects.
